The National Mela 2005 - Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. These terms and conditions apply for the prize draw being held at The National Mela by STAR Advertising Sales Ltd on 18th, 19th and 20th November.

2. The promotion is open to all UK residents (including Northern Ireland but excluding Republic of Ireland) except for employees and their families of STAR Advertising Sales Ltd/British Sky Broadcasting Ltd/NTL home and Telewest Broadband their agencies or any company directly concerned with the administration of this promotion. Entrants must be over 16 years, proof of age may be required.

3. STAR Advertising Sales Ltd (STAR) shall not be liable in any way whatsoever for any failure or breach by any party in connection with these offers or prizes and accepts no responsibility for any loss or injury suffered by a participant in connection with these offers or prizes (other than death or personal injury resulting from the negligence of STAR Advertising Sales Ltd)

4. All entry instructions form part of the rules of this promotion.

5. The closing date for promotion applications is 20th Nov 2005. All completed entries must be received by 20th Nov 2005. Responsibility cannot be accepted for lost, damaged entries. Illegible or incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.

6. The prizes will be awarded to the entrants who have been selected at random from all the fully completed entries posted in the STAR pods at Hall 1 of the NEC or at stand 600.

7. You may enter the prize draw by using the one channel: Fill in all your details on the prize draw card and post in the dedicated STAR pods. No purchase necessary.

8. The Judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

9. For the winners' names, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the following address after the closing date, STAR Advertising Sales Ltd, Profile West, 950 Great West Rd, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 9ES.

10. Winners will be notified by Tuesday 22nd November 2005 by either telephone or postal mail.

11. Competitions prizes will consist of:

· 1 Portable DVD player to be given away each hour provided by Empire Direct.
- Winner will need to go to the STAR stand with ID to obtain a voucher for redemption from Empire Direct

· 1 42" Samsung Plasma screen provided by Empire Direct.
- STAR will mail out a voucher for redemption from Empire Direct

· 1 holiday for 2 in Bangkok including 4 nights at a 5* hotel and flights provided by Southall Travel.
- STAR will provide a letter for redemption of the holiday from Southall Travel

· 1 holiday for 2 in Dubai including 4 nights at a 4* hotel and flights provided by Southall Travel.
- STAR will provide a letter for redemption of the holiday from Southall Travel

· 1 off-road driving experience with Land Rover and 4 passes for one winner to visit the Land Rover factory - Home of the Legend at Solihull provided by Land Rover.
- STAR will provide a letter for redemption of the prize from Land Rover

· 3 Sky+ boxes plus subscription to Sky top tier provided by BSkyB.
- Sky will contact the winner with further information and installation details.

13. Winners all prizes except for the portable DVD players will be announced at the event.

14. Winners of the hourly prize will be announced every hour between 11am to 6pm on 18th, 19th and 20th Nov 05.

15. Winners of the hourly prize must redeem their prize voucher from the STAR stand 600. If the voucher is not collected, it will be sent in the post by STAR, one week after the event.

16. Cash alternatives are not available and prizes are not transferable.

17. You may enter the promotion as many times as you please.

18. In all cases STAR Advertising Sales Ltd will not be held liable for prizes that do not reach the winners for reasons beyond the control of STAR Advertising Sales Ltd. The prizes will be sent in the post by STAR or by the relevant parties as in the Terms and Conditions for individual prizes.

19. If the winners are not able, for whatever reason, to accept the prize, then the promoters reserve the right to award the prize to another participant.

20. By entering this promotion, the winner agrees to participate in all required publicity as determined by STAR Advertising Sales Ltd. This includes being available for photographs and interviews by regional or Asian media.

21. You agree that your personal data supplied when entering may be used by STAR from time to send you offers and information. Unless you have opted on the entry form not to receive any information from STAR.

Land Rover Experience Prize:
1. The (winner) visitor will follow all lawful instructions and other relevant rules whilst attending the 'Home of the Legend' tour and off-road experience as specificied by Land Rover or its employees. The visitor understands that the nature of driving to be carried out at the 'Home of the Legend' requires expert skill and consideration that other visitors may be using the facilities at the same time. Accordingly, it must be understood that great caution is needed whilst attending the 'Home of the Legend' and that any departure from the instructions or rules specified by Land Rover may create risk to the visitor.

2. Where applicable (in order to take part in driving activities), the visitor confirms that he/she has held a full driving licence for at least 12 months and is over eighteen years of age.

3. Where applicable (in order to participate as a passenger), visitors participating in the 'Home of the Legend' will be over fourteen years of age.

4. Whilst on the course the visitor will not at any time be under the influence of alcohol or any drugs, which could impair his/her alertness and driving abilities.

5. The visitor understands that he/she will normally be accompanied by a tour host or instructor, but may be allowed to drive vehicles unaccompanied at certain times, and must exercise particular care under these circumstances.

6. Land Rover retains the discretion to decline or terminate the visitor's attendance at the 'Home of the Legend' factory tour or off-road experience at any time in the interest of safety or otherwise; at which time Land Rover may, at its discretion, return all or part of any fee paid.

7. Land Rover reserves the right to amend or withdraw any tour package in part or total without prior notice and may, at its discretion, in the case of withdrawal return all or part of any course fees paid.

Sky Prizes:

1. This Promotion is open to all UK and Republic of Ireland residents, aged 18 years or over. Proof of age may be required. Employees (or family members of employees) of any British Sky Broadcasting Group company, companies associated with the Promotion and all affiliates of such companies (collectively "the Companies") may not enter any prize draw or competition.

2. To take part in the Promotion you need to register your details on the competition form at the National Mela show including your name, address and telephone number before the close of the exhibition (20.11.05). Unless stated otherwise each eligible entry will be automatically entered into a prize draw. Entries cannot be made by agents or third parties. Late, damaged, defaced or illegible entries will be disqualified. 3. There is only one entry per person and per household per Promotion.

4. Closing time and date for entries is 20.11.05

5. Three winners will be selected at random by an independent person from all correct and eligible entries received.

6. The winners will be notified by either telephone or mail.

7. The prize winners will receive: a free Sky+ box plus standard installation; and relevant Sky subscriptions for 12 months to watch the Sky digital service and to use the Sky+ functionality.

8. Sky will contact the prize winner to arrange installation of the Sky+ box within 28 days of the official closing date of the promotion. The prize winner is responsible for obtaining all consents required e.g. landlord's consent before installation. Additional charges may apply for a non-standard installation. If the prize winner is unable to accept the prize because they cannot get Sky+ installed at their property, then BSkyB reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

9. Pay-per-view events and Sky Box Office movies are not included in the prize and must be paid for separately.

10. The prize is subject to the prize winner's compliance with the standard terms and conditions of Sky+ and Sky digital and the winner will be required to enter into 12 month Sky+ and Sky digital subscription contracts.

11. There is no cash alternative to the prizes (or any part of them) and the prizes are non-refundable and not transferable.

12. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prizes (or any part of them) for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.

13. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence or in respect of fraud and so far as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated companies and agents exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising from any postponement, cancellation, delay or changes to the prize details beyond the Promoter's control and for any act or default of any third party supplier.

14. The terms and conditions of any third party supplier will apply to the prize where applicable.

15. The Promoter will not be liable for prizes that do not reach the winners for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.

16. If any winner is not able, for whatever reason, to accept a prize, then the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another participant.

17. The Promoter's decision is final and legally binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into. Entries that do not comply in full with these entry rules and conditions will be disqualified.

18. Details of the prize winners' name and county will be available for one month after the close of the Promotion by writing to the Promoter at the address set out below and stating the name and date of the Promotion.

23. The name, county and photograph of the winner may be used by the Promoter and its associated companies for post-event publicity purposes.

Holiday Prizes from Southall Travel:

1. Competitions prizes from Promoter Southall Travel will consist of:

· 1 holiday for 2 in Bangkok including 4 nights at a 5* hotel and flights
· 1 holiday for 2 in Dubai including 4 nights at a 4* hotel and flights

2. Winners of both the Dubai holiday and Bankok Holiday will be announced within 4 weeks after the event.

3. To redeem the holiday package, the winner will need to contact the promoter Southall Travel.

5. Southall travel hold responsibility for fulfilment of the prizes.

8. Prize excluding spending money and costs for food and travel.

9. Holiday will include accommodation for 4 nights and 5 days. Dubai package stay will be at a 4 star hotel. Bangkok package stay will be at a 5 star hotel. Hotels subject to availability

11. Valid passports and any applicable visas are the responsibility of each winner

12. Travel insurance is excluded.

14. Southall Travel reserves the right to substitute the prizes (or any part of them) for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.

2. Winner of the plasma screen will be announced within 4 weeks after the event.

3. Winners of the portable DVD players will be announced at the event - 18,19 and 20th Nov 05.

4. To redeem prizes, the winner will need log on to the Empire Direct website - www.empiredirect.co.uk .

5. Delivery is free to any UK mainland address (price on application for isles, Islands, or Northern Ireland).

6. Empire reserve the right to supply an alternative model should stocks not be available.

7. Empire Direct hold responsibility for fulfilment of the prizes.
